At first, I wanted to take pictures of everything. But as I walked along the stone path, the sound of water and the shade of old trees slowed me down. People were not only sightseeing. Some came to pray, and some walked quietly with family.
I stopped before the main shrine and looked around. The place felt old, but not distant.
Dazaifu taught me that a tourist place can be more than a photo spot. Sometimes it becomes a place where the traveler learns to walk more slowly.
그날 늦게 저는 다자이후 텐만구로 가기 위해 전철을 탔습니다. 신사로 이어지는 거리에는 과자와 기념품, 매화 모양 간식을 파는 작은 가게들이 줄지어 있었습니다.

저는 본전 앞에서 멈추어 주변을 둘러보았습니다. 오래된 곳이었지만 멀게 느껴지지는 않았습니다.
다자이후는 관광지가 사진을 찍는 장소 이상일 수 있다는 것을 가르쳐 주었습니다. 때로 관광지는 여행자가 더 천천히 걷는 법을 배우는 장소가 됩니다.
