On Saturday, Pastor Bat drove me to a small settlement where a new church was beginning. There was no proper church building yet. The believers met in a rented room behind a small shop.
Only ten people came that day. They arranged chairs, cleaned the floor, and placed a small cross on a table. One woman brought milk tea. A young man carried a guitar with a broken case.
Pastor Bat said that church planting in Mongolia often starts quietly. There may be no salary, no building, and no trained musician. But if people gather to worship, pray, and care for one another, a church has already begun.
During the prayer time, each person prayed for a neighbor by name. They prayed for sick parents, lonely students, and families who had never heard the gospel.
I realized that a new church is not born from perfect conditions. It is born when a few believers decide to become light in their own place.
